With Fashion Week ending just last week, I thought it would be totally appropriate to talk a little bit about how fashion and technology mesh in the real world.<\/p>\n

The most obvious way fashion and technology connect is through the internet.\u00a0 Uber-fierce fashion blogger Bryanboy<\/a> live streamed every show he attended on his website, giving viewers a first-hand look at a lot of the Fall\/Winter 2011 collections.\u00a0 Designer Derek Lam recently collaborated with eBay on a fashion line of your choosing.\u00a0 He presented a dress collection at Fashion Week for eBay Fashion, and the top five vote getters online will be available on sale at eBay for a limited time.\u00a0 Even better, if you sign up<\/a>, you get a chance to win the entire collection!\u00a0 And of course, there are a ton of websites where you can design your own clothing and handbags.\u00a0 At Viv Pickle<\/a>, you choose fabric, lining, handle style, and everything else you need to make the perfect purse.\u00a0 FashionPlaytes<\/a> is a super-cute site for girls to design and customize their clothing, and at Blank-Label<\/a>, guys can choose fabric, collar, cuff, and everything else they\u2019ll need to create the perfect dress shirt.<\/p>\n

But if you\u2019re not ready to unleash your inner designer, you can let the internet do the work for you.\u00a0 There are lots of websites where you can create your own virtual \u201cboutique,\u201d and based on your tastes, you\u2019ll get personalized recommendations for your next fashion find.\u00a0 Boutiques.com<\/a> is just one of the many places where you can set up shop.\u00a0 And, if all else fails and you just wanna buy<\/em> something already, there are hundreds (or maybe thousands!) of websites where you can get all the fashion you need at huge discounts.\u00a0 Bluefly<\/a>, Shopbop<\/a>, and Zappos<\/a> are some of the most popular.\u00a0 So whatever your fashion fix, you’ll be sure to find something online to express your fabulousity!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
