Earth Hour takes place tomorrow, Saturday March 26th.\u00a0 From 8:30-9:30 p.m., the World Wildlife Federation is asking all of us to turn everything off – lights, televisions, computers, etc.\u00a0– and unplug from all of those things that are a drain on\u00a0the resources of this planet.\u00a0 But this year, the organizers are asking all of us to go beyond the hour to try to\u00a0make those small\u00a0changes in our daily lives to reduce our carbon footprint.\u00a0 And they’ve made it\u00a0easy for you!\u00a0 61+ is an app available for iPhone and Android that helps you be the change you want to see in the world.\u00a0 There are suggestions\u00a0for\u00a0small\u00a0things you can do, and it tracks those ‘acts’ and allows you to share with friends\u00a0through social media outlets.\u00a0 Simple steps like unplugging your phone charger when not in use and washing dishes in the sink can go a long way towards positively impacting climate change on the planet.\u00a0 Take a look at this video and check out www.earthhour.org<\/a> for more info.\u00a0 Let’s all pitch in and do our part!<\/p>\n
